3rd Arab-German Energy Forum, Berlin

Organizer: Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry

When: 11-12 October 2012

The Arab World has made great efforts to meet its continuous energy demand. Current activities of renewable energy are established by building wind energy farms and solar thermal power plants. The increasing importance of the energy sector reflects on economic growth and has great effects on the main source of energy as oil, wind and solar.

An important challenge for Germany and the Arab World is securing a sustainable and affordable energy supply by developing modern technologies and emerging an effective energy mix of renewable and conventional energies. This offers tremendous business potential for Arab-German cooperation.

Therefore, the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry organizes for the third time Arab-German Energy Forum from October 11th-12th, 2012 at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin in cooperation with the League of Arab States, the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries (GUCCIAAC) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

High-ranking speakers and experts from the energy sector will discuss latest trends on Wind Energy, Conventional Energy, Water Security and Supply, Oil and Gas, Solar Energy and Power Distribution. As in the last years more than 300 Arab and German participants from politics, business and sciences are expected at the conference which will once again create an ideal platform for new cooperation and seeking new opportunities in the German and Arab energy sector.
