Ghorfa: 2nd German-Arab Energy Forum, Berlin
The 2nd German-Arab Energy Forum will be organized by the Ghorfa Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture for Arab Countries, Desertec Industrial Initiative (Dii), and the German Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI).
Building on the success of last autumn’s 1st German-Arab Energy Forum, with around 300 Arab and German participants from politics and business, the 2nd Forum will create an ideal platform for the exchange of information on current projects, plans and, prospects for German-Arab cooperation in the energy sector once again.
In order to meet the rising energy demand in Arab societies in the upcoming years, intelligent and efficient energy schemes will be needed. German businesses will find a number of excellent opportunities for cooperation and business in this field in many Arab countries. In the various sessions taking place during the 2nd German-Arab Energy Forum, a broad range of topics will be covered: new partnerships in renewable energies, water desalination, power transmission and distribution, energy efficiency, power station development, training and know-how transfer, as well as security of fossil energy supplies.
