The creation of a market for renewable energy in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East implies to master a large number of challenging tasks in a complex environment. Dii, which has developed over the two last years into a team of 35 highly motivated professionals, has made considerable progress in enabling a first Pilot Project in Morocco in collaboration with MASEN, identifying further Reference Projects and bringing to life its long-term strategy “Desert Power Perspectives 2050”. Given the increasing diversity and demanding character of these operations, Dii´s shareholders considered as crucial to strengthen its Management Board. Dr. Aglaia Wieland, until now Senior Director for Strategy at Dii, was therefore appointed to join Dii’s Management Board from January 2012.

Paul van Son and Aglaia Wieland now jointly manage the company. Prior to working with Dii, Ms. Wieland was a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group in Germany and the Middle East. Dr. Aglaia Wieland will be dedicated to strategy, regulatory issues and projects as well as public affairs. Paul van Son will continue to manage all matters of governance, interaction with political key contacts, shareholders, associated partners, media and other stakeholders.
